Both teams have two Representative commitments in the 2010 /
2011 season as indicated below. The Association will provide all assistance required to ensure your role with the team
will be an enjoyable one. To be eligible
for selection for Softball Mainland "Southern Pride", players must attend the
events in Christchurch in December.
Men will play
Southland for the Bates Shield at Surrey Park 21st November and attend
Jefferies Cup in Christchurch 4th & 5th December
Women will
Play Southland for the Henderson Trophy at Ellis Park 21st November and
attend Jubilee Cup in Christchurch 4th & 5th December

 Do you know a great volunteer coach?
The SPARC Volunteer Coach of the Year awards are running
again this year, and this is an opportunity to give your volunteer coaches some
much deserved recognition and help improve your coach retention, with very
little effort from you. Every coach nominated will receive a letter of
thanks and go into a regional prize draw, and the three Otago winners selected
to represent us in the national awards will also win prizes from SPARC and
Wattie's. Most importantly we will be giving all nominees the message that

The most efficient way to receive notification of any cancellations is to register to receive text via the "Sportcheck" website. Click the CANCELLATION button on the task bar to register. Each text you receive will cost 50cents. Cancellations will also be broadcast on "More FM"
